Zarine Khan, who makes her debut opposite Salman Khan in Veer later this week is referred to as Katrina Kaif's look-alike. Zarine was a struggling model before she got a call from Subhash Ghai's studio to audition for the movie.
Zarine was instructed to pile on weight for Veer. Zarine was put on a chocolate diet for months to give her a more full-bodied look to appear like a woman from the past. Zarine plays Princess Yashodhara in the movie, while Salman Khan plays a warrior prince,Veer. Zarine, who weighed 54 kilos before the shoot, was asked to make sure she ate cakes and pastries to appear more curvaceous.
Katrina was last seen romancing beau Salman Khan in 2009's musical Yuvraaj. Zarine Khan, who plays Salman's love interest Yashodhara in the film Veer Zarine Khan says that Katrina is so beautiful that even she couldn't take her eyes off her.
Zarine Khan who makes her debut opposite Salman Khan in Veer was cheering for Salman at promotion of the movie. Veer hits theatres on January 22.
